Family Free Day at the Zoo

Entry to the Milwaukee County Zoo is free for all visitors on Saturday, March 4, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Parking and other fees still apply. This is sponsored by North Shore Bank.

Blarney Run/Walk

The year's 26th annual Wauwatosa Historial Society fundraiser, the Blarney Run/Walk, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on March 11, 2017. It's at the Friends of Hoyt Park and Pool Grand Hall. The course includes a 3.1-mile (5K) run or a 2.0-mile walk. There's a 200-yard "Twinkle Trot" for kids, ages 10 and under. The registration fee includes a shirt.

Behind the Scenes Weekend at the Zoo

Although regular zoo admission and parking are required, this is your once-a-year chance to visit behind-the-scenes locations at the Milwaukee County Zoo. You have two options: Saturday, March 11 and Sunday, March 12. From 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. each day. This is sponsored by Prairie Farms Dairy.

Family Day in the Village

Come celebrate St. Patrick’s Day early! This family-friendly event has activities for everyone, including crafts, entertainment, and live music. Don't forget the food and beverages! There will be live music by contemporary folk group Tallymoore, performances by the Beglan Academy of Irish Dance, and an appearance by Milwaukee Irish Fest mascots Paddy and Molly McFest. It's on Sunday, March 12, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the CelticMKE Center, 1532 N. Wauwatosa Avenue. Only $8 per family.

Lucky Leprechaun Run

This 5th annual run/walk takes place on Saturday, March 18. The event has a 10:00 a.m. start time with pre-event festivities starting at 9:00 a.m. This event benefits the MACC Fund. Celebrate your completion of this 7K (4.3 miles) at Leff's Lucky Town where you'll be treated to 2 free beers (assuming you're 21 or older).

A Pilates Mat Class

BodyWork teamed up with Paradigm Pilates to offer this Pilates class. The goal of the class is to help you increase overall strength and flexibility while correcting posture, body alignment, and reducing joint and back pain, and more. This class takes place every Thursday morning in March from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at 1502 Underwood Avenue.

Yo Mama! Storytime

If you have preschoolers in your family, consider stopping by at Yo Mama! (1349 N Wauwatosa Avenue) any Monday in March from 11:00 a.m. to noon. Children, up to 5 years old, get to create a craft and have a story read to them. They can also enjoy a small Fro Yo with UNLIMITED toppings for only $5.00.
